Letters of thanks and appreciation written by students of Grades 4–8

“there is no greater power in heaven or on earth than the commitment to a dream.”
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Ignited Minds

Dear ISRO,

As an educator, I have no words to describe the impact that your tireless efforts in launching the Chandrayaan 2 mission have had on the students of India. You have inspired them, motivated them, educated them and propelled them to look at science and especially space science not just as a complicated and far fetched dream but as a hard-earned, long sought and wonderfully sweet reality.

Today, nearly every student of my school dreams of becoming a space scientist and, even though not all of them will go on to carry this dream, they will carry the inspiration you have given them — to go where no one else has gone before, to take their country to newer heights and to make their mark in whichever field they pursue.

This mission and your efforts have started a movement in India — one that is extremely protective of our space program. The kind of motivation that you have given to the country’s students is something that every country in the world strives to do. The onus is on us now — to carry this inspiration and motivation forward and to use it to shape brighter futures for our country’s students and thereby the country itself.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing this incredible service to the nation, not just in the field of space science but in the field of education by igniting the fire of curiosity, the courage to dream big and the passion to persist in the face of any and every obstacle, in our students.

We salute Dr. K Sivan. We salute our space scientists. We salute ISRO.
Jai Hind.
